My New Car | Wednesday, July 26, 2006

Ok, well this isn't my new car, but a subsidiary company to Chrystler called GEM (Global Electric Motorcars, LLC) has begun mass production of a series of zero-emmisions NEVs (Neighborhood Electric Vehicles). The GEM does a top speed of 25mph, has a built-in governer switch to slow it to 15mph when desired, will travel approx. 30 miles on a single charge, charges in about 8 hours, and is completely street legal on streets that are limited at 35mph or slower. With today's gas prices and being a local commuter to work, this is the geek's dream car :)...ok, well at least it is very practical!
