HTML and CSS | Saturday, June 26, 2004

The first time I built a webpage, I learned to view my page through code in the same respect that Cypher said he viewed the matrix when looking at the monitors (you know, "all I see is blonde, brunette, redhead"). Now, when I look at the code all I see is a big headache...I've been out of the loop for too long. I've dabbled a bit in Java, and recenly in Flash, but now I'm trying to mess with CSS (such as the template for this blog is written in) and it is quite foreign. I'm learning, though, by playing with templates and trying to make them do what I want them to do...feel free to follow my slow progress as I try and make this blog and my newly forming website merge into one.

Also, please feel free to take a peak at my site to view my pictures...as I am slowly getting into the photography thing.

A tribute to the Verizon Machine | Friday, June 25, 2004

**any of you ever have to make a call to verizon...whether for yourself or a client?

-- (parody of "On the Road Again" by Willie Nelson) --
I'm on hold again
Just can't wait to get off the phone again
crappy music and pee's runnin' down my shin
And I can't wait to get off of hold again

I'm on hold again
Longest wait time that there's ever been
Hearin' Music that I'm sure I'll hear again
And I can't wait to get off of hold again

I'm on hold again
Broke down on the information superhighway
We're the worst of friends
They insist that the world be turnin' their way
And their way:

Is I'm on hold again
Just can't wait to get off the phone again
crappy music and pee's runnin' down my shin
And I can't wait to get off of hold again

I'm on hold again
Broke down on the information superhighway
We're the worst of friends
They insist that the world be turnin' their way
And their way:

Is I'm on hold again
Longest wait time that there's ever been
Hearin' Music that I'm sure I'll hear again
And I can't wait to get off of hold again

Please shoot me now and get me off of hold again.

Model Aeronaudics |

So not to many people, other than those that have known me for years, know that I was once completely taken with Model Aviation. I own a couple of planes still, but haven't kept up on it for a number of years. My first plane is a glider. I have a giant rubber band made from sergical tubing that launches it between 300-400 feet in the air. My other plain is a Piper Cub (with optional sea-plane floats) which has only been in the air once. I had another plane...a trainer (big wings, easy to fly)...I found out the hard way that it didn't like loop-'d-loops when, durring the climb, the winds fell off and it fell over 300 feet into hard soil...only the wing survived (ironic?). Anyways, I also enjoyed designing 'em. My designs included a few Star Wars ships (xwing, awing) and a flying saucer...I unforturnately, never had the resources to build one. I have found, however, that someone else has: http://www.futurehorizons.net/saucer.htm... I'm envious...anyone have about $750 I can borrow?

OK, I think I'm up and going | Wednesday, June 23, 2004

I've been tweaking a few settings here and there and think I've got this thing up and working...it's kinda ironic that a guy who does tech support can screw up something so easy...
